MotiveSmart™ Verification Program - Mobile Devices

Motive’s verification testing program for mobile devices is based on defined criteria that are intended to enable baseline interoperability with industry standards such as the Open Mobile Alliance’s (OMA) Device Management enablers. The program then builds on that foundation to ensure that Motive and its partners can support the real needs of mobile service providers all over the world.

OMA Standards Interoperability

Motive's approach to verification testing is based on the OMA Enabler Test Specifications for Mobile Device Management. Interoperability with Motive's solutions ensure:

  • Protocols identified have been exercised and confirmed to follow the specification
  • Protocols operate as expected
  • Default parameters communicated successfully

Currently, Motive performs testing for the following OMA Specifications:

  • OMA-DM 1.1.2/1.2 with Generic Alert Support
  • OMA-FUMO 1.0: Firmware Update

Although the following enablers have not yet been ratified by OMA, they are supported by Motive's portfolio of Mobile Service Management (MSM) solutions and thus can be offered for testing:

  • LAWMO: Lock and Wipe
  • DIAGMON: DM Diagnostics and Monitoring
  • SCOMO: Software Component Management

Program Benefits for Partners:

  • Motive Partner Network Directory entry
  • Early roadmap and product plan sharing
  • Marketing and press release templates
  • Ongoing sales and product support
